The Mafia Presence in Lombardy
On Friday, June 20 at 10:30 AM, in the Sala Lauree of the Faculty of Political, Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Milan, the event “The Mafia Presence in Lombardy: Insights from Mafia and the Economy. Criminal Risk in Lombardy” will take place. The event is dedicated to presenting the research behind the book Mafia and the Economy. Criminal Risk in Lombardy [Mafia ed economia. Il rischio criminale in Lombardia], written by Nando dalla Chiesa and Andrea Carnì.
Organized by the Cross – Observatory on Organized Crime at the University of Milan (Cross) [Osservatorio sulla Criminalità Organizzata dell’Università degli Studi di Milano (Cross)] and CGIL Lombardia, the event will open with welcome remarks by Marco Pedrazzi, Director of the Department of International, Legal and Historical-Political Studies, and will be moderated by Mariele Merlati, Director of Cross. In addition to the authors, representatives from the trade union sector will also take part.
