The Right to Truth, the Right to Identity. Claudia Carlotto in Milan
As part of Itinerarios de Paz. Prácticas, estéticas, imaginarios (Diálogos series, Peace and Mobilities project), Milan will host Claudia Carlotto on 28 and 29 September 2026 for a series of events dedicated to the right to truth and the right to identity.
On 28 September, a private workshop will include a visit to MUSA, the University Museum of Anthropological, Medical and Forensic Sciences for Human Rights. At 6:00 pm, at the Biblioteca Chiesa Rossa (Via S. Domenico Savio, 3), a visit to the photography exhibition "50 Years since the Military Coup in Argentina" will take place, featuring photographs by Florencia Downes and introduced by Jorge Ithurburu of 24marzo Onlus.
On 29 September, at Via Conservatorio, Claudia Carlotto will meet students of the University of Milan in Room 3 (10:30 am–12:00 pm). This will be followed, in Room 21 (12:30–2:00 pm), by a conversation on rights and identity with scholars of criminal law, biomedical sciences and political philosophy.
Fifty years after the Argentine coup, this is a significant occasion to reflect on the right to truth and identity, bringing together history, law and forensic science in the name of memory and human rights.
