who we are

OUR TEAM

CRIMePO is the Centre for Research in Criminology and Public Policy at the University of Milan, led by Professor Roberto Cornelli. Our team is composed of individuals with diverse experiences and educational backgrounds, all dedicated to advancing criminological knowledge in areas that are particularly relevant to the community, from a transdisciplinary perspective. Through research, training, and public engagement, we strive to generate practical knowledge to help design and implement innovative, inclusive, and democratic policies.

OUR WORK

We conduct research through public and private funding, as well as collaborations with research centers both in Italy and internationally. We offer training through the development or participation in doctoral, master’s, and advanced education programs. We engage in public criminology through national and international initiatives.

OUR VALUES

The freedom of scientific research is an inalienable principle that carries a strong responsibility in choosing topics, determining the methods of investigation, and discussing the results. At CRIMePO, we conduct research with a foundation of theoretical and methodological rigor, prioritizing respect for and the promotion of people’s abilities, and aiming to advance well-being, rights, peace, and democracy. These are the values that guide our daily work as researchers.
