Book Launch: "For a Possible Peace. Responsibility, Justice and Reparation in the Age of Wars"

On Thursday, May 28th at 7:00 PM, at Cineteca Milano Arlecchino, Adolfo Ceretti and Roberto Cornelli – criminologists and experts in restorative justice and criminal policy – will launch their new book "Per una pace possibile. Responsabilità, giustizia e riparazione al tempo delle guerre" [For a Possible Peace. Responsibility, Justice and Reparation in the Age of Wars] (Feltrinelli, 2026).
At a time when war is once again becoming the default language of politics and the public imagination, Ceretti and Cornelli offer a bold, against-the-grain reflection: is peace still thinkable? And if so, on what terms? The book revolves around the ideas of responsibility, justice and reparation – ways of imagining, even in the hardest of circumstances, alternatives to the logic of conflict and punishment.
In conversation with the authors: Marta Cartabia, Former President of the Constitutional Court; Gabrio Forti, Emeritus Professor of Criminal Law; Niccolò Nisivoccia, lawyer and author; Stefano Radice, Cineteca Milano.
The event will be followed by a screening of Shoulder Arms (Charlie Chaplin, USA, 1918, 46′), with live musical accompaniment by Francesca Badalini.
