International Drug Markets: Developments, Perspectives, Reflections, and Proposals

From 9 to 11 September 2026, the University of Milan will host three days of training on international drug markets, organised by CROSS – Observatory on Organized Crime, under the patronage of the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission.

Coordinated by Professor Nando dalla Chiesa, the initiative brings together United Nations specialists, international prosecutors and judges, institutional representatives, scholars, and journalists to explore, from an interdisciplinary perspective, shifts in the geography of drug trafficking, the growing role of synthetic drugs, and policies for prevention, enforcement, and regulation at the global level.

Participation is free of charge and open to PhD students, university students, researchers, teachers, social workers, journalists, and interested members of the public, subject to availability. Registration is required via the online form; please see the attached flyer for further information.
