PhD in Legal Sciences Cesare Beccaria

The Cesare Beccaria Doctoral Program in Legal Sciences at the University of Milan proposes a course of higher education with an interdisciplinary vocation, during which doctoral students are offered the opportunity to deepen their study of law, with particular reference to criminal law and criminal procedure, Roman law and the history of law, the philosophy and sociology of law, and ecclesiastical and canon law. Since 2024, with the addition of Prof. Roberto Cornelli to the faculty, a research line in Criminology has been active within the Criminology Curriculum.
