Young people, mafia power and trust in authority: knowing to act

On Monday, June 23, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the webinar titled “Young people, mafia power and trust in authority: knowing to Act" will be held. This event is promoted by Avviso Pubblico, within the framework of the AP-profondimenti, in collaboration with the University of Milan and the Centre for Research in Criminology and Public Policy (CRIMePO). The webinar arises from the need to critically reflect on the role of mafias within contemporary society and the trust that young people place in institutions.
Following the introductory remarks by the National Coordinator of Avviso Pubblico, Pierpaolo Romani, and an introduction by writer and historian Isaia Salles, the webinar will be moderated by Professor Roberto Cornelli, Criminology professor at the University of Milan. The event will feature contributions from Marianastasia Letizia, PhD candidate in Social Sciences and Statistics at the University of Federico II in Naples, Antonio Fisichella, representative of the Committee against Educational Poverty in Catania, “Prima i Bambini,” Monia Giovannetti, head of the Department of Statistical Data and Thematic Studies at CITTALIA (presence to be confirmed), and Laura Squillace, post-doctoral fellow Criminology at the University of Milan. This webinar will provide an important opportunity for discussion and in-depth analysis of crucial issues concerning the future of young generations and the fight against organized crime.
