Youth, Social Issues, and Crime: What Policies for Local Authorities?

In recent years, public debate has increasingly focused on younger generations, often portraying them as deviant and dangerous. The so-called baby gangs has become a symbol of juvenile delinquency, fueling an alarmist narrative that depicts a reality out of control. But is this really the case? The webinar "Youth, Social Issues, and Crime: What Policies for Local Authorities?", organized by Avviso Pubblico as part of the AP-profondimenti project, in collaboration with FISU and the Veneto Region, will explore data and social dynamics to better understand the phenomenon and identify effective strategies for intervention. Particular attention will be given to the role of local authorities in addressing youth-related issues by promoting policies focused on prevention and inclusion. This will be a valuable opportunity for open discussion and to develop concrete, informed responses.
