Beyond Vengeance: Restorative Justice in Italy
On March 25, 2025, at the University of Milan (Via Festa del Perdono 3, Room 104), the book presentation of “Oltre la vendetta. La giustizia riparativa in Italia” [Beyond Vengeance: Restorative Justice in Italy] will take place. During the event, authors Marcello Bortolato and Edoardo Vigna will explore the potential of restorative justice as a tool to heal the social and emotional fractures caused by crime. This will be an opportunity to reflect on how this approach has been integrated into our legal system, promoting an innovative vision of justice that involves not only the victim and the perpetrator but also the judge, mediators, and, in some cases, the community. Dr. Francesco Maisto, Prof. Roberto Cornelli, and Prof. Stefano Simonetta will engage in a discussion with the authors.
