Week of Legality - Remembering Guido Galli

The Week of Legality - Remembering Guido Galli will take place from March 18 to 21, 2025. This is an initiative promoted by the University of Milan in memory of the judge and professor of Criminal Procedure and Criminology, who was killed on March 19, 1980, by a Prima Linea commando in the corridors of the University. The main event of the Week of Legality will be the Eleventh Day of Justice, titled “A Dialogue on the Justice Reform”, which will take place at the University's Aula Magna on March 19 at 10:00 AM. On March 18, two events will be held at the Sala Lauree in Via Conservatorio 7: at 6:00 PM, Professor Nando Dalla Chiesa will moderate the debate “The Rediscovery of the Americas: The Mafias in Canada and Brazil” (to participate, please register at the following link), and at 8:30 PM, the 9th edition of “La Meglio Gioventù” will take place, in which the best thesis in Organized Crime Sociology of 2024 will be presented to the city (registration is required to participate via this link).
At the conclusion of the Week of Legality, on March 21 at 9:30 AM, the documentary film “Falcone and Borsellino – The Fire of Memory” will be presented at the Sala di Rappresentanza del Rettorato. To participate, please register at this link.
Participation in the events is free, subject to seat availability. The Week of Legality is an event organized by the Department of Public Law, Italian and International Law, Department of Law “Cesare Beccaria”, Department of Private Law and Legal History, and Departmente of International, Legal, and Political Studies. The event’s scientific committee includes Professor Fabio Basile, Professor Nando Dalla Chiesa, Professor Marilisa D'Amico, and Professor Gianluigi Gatta.
