Gaza – The Humiliation of Law
On October 1, 2025, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., the Aula Magna “Galli-Alessandrini” at the Milan Courthouse will host the event “Gaza: l'umiliazione del diritto" [Gaza: The Humiliation of Law], organized by Magistratura Democratica (Milan section) together with AreaDG Milano, in memory of Giovanna Ichino.
The event is intended as a moment of reflection on the ongoing genocide in Palestine, focusing on how the law is too often ignored or undermined, and on how it can once again serve as a means of dialogue and peace.
The discussion will bring together legal professionals who will share their expertise in a thoughtful and responsible debate. Among the speakers is Francesca Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.
The debate will be held in Italian.
