Festival of Criminal Justice

The Festival of Criminal Justice is a cultural and academic event dedicated to promoting knowledge and public understanding of issues related to criminal law and criminal procedure. Established with the aim of bringing justice closer to citizens, the festival fosters dialogue among scholars, legal practitioners, journalists, intellectuals, and the wider public, encouraging a deeper understanding of how the justice system operates and of its impact on democratic life.
The initiative is characterized by a strong interdisciplinary approach, involving experts not only from the legal field but also from areas such as sociology, philosophy, science, and journalism. Throughout the festival, numerous events are organized, including panel discussions, debates, book presentations, performances, and film screenings, addressing contemporary issues in criminal justice and the protection of rights.
The 2026 edition, the seventh of the festival, will take place from 14 to 17 May in several cities in the province of Modena, including Modena, Carpi, Sassuolo, Mirandola, Formigine, and Pavullo nel Frignano. The event brings together Italian and international guests and represents an important opportunity for public dialogue on legality, rights, and the contemporary challenges facing criminal justice.
