We would like to highlight the publication of the volume “Abolire l’impossibile. Le forme della violenza, le pratiche della libertà” [Abolishing the Impossible. Forms of Violence, Practices of Freedom], written by Valeria Verdolini and published by Add Editore. 

The book explores the space that remains, in contemporary society, for utopian thinking. By examining “successful” abolitions on the one hand, it also seeks to explore the challenges and potential of what are described as “impossible abolitions” — that is, the dismantling of violent structures that perpetuate mechanisms of oppression, such as patriarchy and racism.
